Syncing never come back if doze is enabled

Hello,

on my Z3+ ( Android 6.0 / Build: 32.1.A.1.185)  syncing of calendar does never come back if doze (Setting - Battery usage - ... - Battery saver - on ) is enabeld.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Turn on Battery saver and try to sync   => it  never come back.

2. Turn off  Battery saver and try to sync  =>  it takes only 1 or 2 Seconds and sync is finished.

So my question is .... is the a known bug ? Or is the synchronistion blocked for most of the time if doze is enabled

I have update to Android 6.0 immediately after starting the z3+ for the first time and after it was finished i have reset it an start using it normal.

Booting into safe mode does not change the behaviour  !!  With Battery save "on" no sync is done

What should I do ?

That's how it's supposed to work, but this should explain it better

Hello,

thanks a lot, that gave me a deeper understanding for doze.

Does this feature realy  prevents me  for  a manual  syncing of my calendar ?  "Sync now" definitely never come back if doze is enabled.

Is this a bug like some Nexus Users ( http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/01/02/some-nexus-owners-are-having-syncing-issues-in-gmail-inbox-a... have or is this a feature ?

Thanks a lot.

@tomscher

It seems to be a feature, but if I'm not mistaken it seems that Stamina mode will be re-incorporated later on.

After some trys it is a fact that no yahoo-Mail notification is fired when doze is on.

Befor you ask :smileysmileywink: yahoo is in the "Not optimized" List

I think this is a bug and i will give greenify a try, doze seemed to be to buggy now ... hopefully stamia comes back.

After reading the specification of Android 6.0 I must correct myself.

In fact ... Doze is _always_ enabled you can only "whitelist" some applications under some circumstances.

The additional "battery-Saving" options must be some add-on of sony.
