Checking, Flexion is a pre-authorized marketing/monetization package used by EA, which is indeed very unwanted.

I have uninstalled the EA package, which takes care of the bottom five, but the magicbox.apk does not appear to be deletable.

Is there any way to get rid of this malware without rooting and breaking the warranty?

Perhaps even worse, if connecting the phone to a PC, it first installs MediaGo, which in turn tries to install PlaystationStoreInstaller.exe, which ESET Nod32 identifies as being infected by Win32/Kryptik Trojan/Rootkit.

Given Sony's history with rootkits, well, I'm a bit worried here.

Is there any other way to sync with a PC without using the MediaGo app?

it is not a virus, either those antivirus are acting up or trying to scare users so more and more people buy this product (mcafee)

Works like anti virus in windows, probably those files are not recognize on McAfee's database..as long as it doesn't affect the phones performance it is not a virus. Hahaha i was scaring dudes here haha

yes man its not a virus, have you heard the "batch files" in windows? these are kind of files that are not virus but when you scan your PC it shows that it is a virus even though its not. magic file right here is like the batch file in windows. anti virus scan them as virus because its not listed on them as a non threat file.i would be scared if one day there will be trojan, or shortcut virus on our android devices haha

So, does anyone know how to solve this irritating problem? The notification of McAfee is really annoying!

It seems like this problem exsitis only on Xperia P phones, and that's really strange. I also tried to manually update McAfee (as I read from another forum), but this didn't solve the problem. The weirdest thing is that if I try to fully scan my phone for viruses McAfee says its clean.

I think its McAfee itself which has a problem just uninstall it and install AVG antivirus its free you will find it in the Play Store i think its better than Mcafree. When i do a scan with AVG no malware is detected.
