Hi, I purchased a Z3C a few months ago at the beginning of September past and it has been a stellar phone that I was very satisfied with until recently. A few days ago (27/12/15) I tried to charge my phone as I normally do via the micro usb with the factory wall socket adapter and micro usb lead that were supplied with the phone when I purchased it. I then quickly realised that my phone was not charging. Having only had my phone around 4 months I assumed that there was a problem with the charger or the socket.
I then tried charging the phone with two different wall sockets, two different micro usb leads and two different wall adapters, to no avail. I also tried a forced restart of my device. I then started to look on your website for a solution, this prompted me to connect my phone to my laptop and do a software update using the PC companion program available on your website. Upon doing this I then realised that my laptop wasn't actually connected to my phone.
The only possible explanation for this is that the micro usb port in my device has stopped working, this is unfathomable as I have never used my phone underwater or in a dusty environments, I always close the flaps securely, I keep my phone in a case and it is very seldom dropped. In general, I look after my phone and take good care of it and I cannot understand why the usb port would just simply stop working. What I would like to know is how to resolve this issue and how long it is likely to take to have my device repaired or replaced. Thanks for your help!
