Hi,
Now updgraded my Xepria M to android 4.3 but it seems that BLE is still not supported...
Is the Xperia M hardware capable of that? Any plan for having BLE working on Xperia M?
Thanks
It's taking a while, but there is a firmware update listed.
Hopefully this will be released.
Then we can see what the status is after that.
you are saying that sony xperia m dual supports BLE and not found any problem with it. But, when I installed the BLE application its getting closed with a toast displaying "BLE hardware is required but not available".
Do you have answer for this? if u, then will u please let me know how to enable that?
Thank u
Honnestly, this is ridiculus... they have a fix and they don't release it, just click the "release" button!!!!!
OK, Xperia M is not their main focus, but still, what's wrong???
We've been waiting for months!
I just bought a Bluetooth heart rate monitor for $50 this week. Before I bought it, I checked the requirements: Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.3, both features of my Xperia M dual. Thus, I was not expecting any problems.
I'm quite disappointed now that I have found out that the heart rate monitor does not work with my phone. I really hope the announcements of an upcoming fix turn out to be true, and the update will be available for all of us before the year 2014 has ended.
Although we understand the trouble some users have with this issue, the company has taken the decision not to go any further with this case. If you have more questions and comments, please contact us.

No, you don't understand : we bought this Xperia M because it was said to support BLE with 4.3 upgrade. But it does not !
It was my last Sony device !

This kind of behaviour is exactly why Sony is in red with smartphone direction. You are even risking law suits because people paid money, in some kind of the wordl it was a serious amount, for a false information that you gave to them. Any serious company would try to make things right by any means just not to let users be mislead. Do not underestimate the power of users and the fact that you guys threw a boomerang. Today it is XM and tomorow maybe some other phone...
Richard, thank you very much for letting us know.
We may not like what Sony has to say nor their thoughts behind it, but it's good the customer is respected enough to be told.
I am really sad that support for this phone effectively stopped ~10months after it was released.
Just sad, very sad in deed.
Now that sony has connfirmed they are not going to fix the bluetooth issue who do i talk to about rejecting the XM for being unfit for purpose.
