civil alert didn't work

Yesterday there was an eartquake in my country. Chile, however, the application civil alert included on xperia L didn't work and I didn't recieve any presidential alerts. I want a solution for this because I had no idea that there also were tsunami alerts because this aplication didn't work the way it should

That's rather odd because here in the US we got the civil alert warning of a possible Tsunami. Perhaps it wasn't broadcast in your country. 

look for the Emergency alerts app > WEA settings > is everything selected? did you had wifi and/or data on?

True, I did not get an alert on my Xperia Z1 during the tsunami in Chile 😞  My sister got the message in its Moto G and my brother on HTC One, but to me, I did not get anything.

Yes, everything was selected. As you can see I wasn't the only one whose civil alert didn't work. So I'd really appreciate that Sony could solve this problem because many lives can be saved...
