cannot installing mobile iron

Hi,

     I cannot install mobileiron on my Xperia J ST26i (I need to install work-related apps).  I've been working with my IT people and we cannot get over the problem.  The device needs to be encrypted but at the point where we begin encryption it goes to a screen that's headed "settings", a green android logo appears, and then NOTHING happens.  I've left the phone alone for hours and hours and it does not encrypt (or attempt to by the looks of it).  Can you help?  Is this a known problem?  Please advise.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Haven't used mobileiron myself so I'm not aware of the requirements. Are you trying to use the encryption function in the settings menu or is it something build into the app?

...it seems to be built into the app.  I have not resolved the problem.  Are you a Sony support agent or a sony user who is kindly trying to help? If you are a sony agent, is it possible for you to try and install mobileiron on the same device as mine?

The only way to install apps on an mobile device is from the iTunes app store (either directly on the device or via mobile install on a computer).  If the app is not in the app store, it cannot be installed on an mobile device.After download and install is complete, you will see the MobileIron App on your iPad Home Screen. 8. Press the app icon to open MobileIron. The app will open to the setup screen.
