Cannot hear caller, but caller can hear me

New Sony Xperia M5 (about 7 weeks old) and all of a sudden, I cannot hear the caller though the caller can hear me. Tried with a number of different callers, same problem for each. 

Anybody else have this issue, or know how to fix it?

Yes i was having that problem too, my problem was whatsapp so i recomend that uninstal the app and try if the problem desappears go to change your phone to a new one.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried unintelligible WhatsApp, but the problem still occurred.

Will be sending it off for repair tomorrow I think.
