Black screen appeared when charging!

My phone was just charging and when i went to see how far along it was the entire screen was black the screen was responsive but i couldn't see anything. I tried to restart it many times then eventually i got through and it came back on normal again.

It was scary i thought my phone crashed. Did this ever happen to anyone? Can anyone explain what may have caused this?

I dont want this happening again!!!

based on your other post, it might be a proximity sensor acting up

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the proximity sensor

does your phone has a protective case, film or glass?

Hi all my sensors are fine, i did the diagnostic etc but thanks though.
