Auto mode is not 8 MP after update

After upgrading to 6.0.1 the camera is in automatic shooting at 8mpxl
Is that normal ???

That is in superior auto, change to manual and you can go to 20.7.

Thanks but the manual is manual.... Doesn't optimise pic quality according to environment (sun cloud day night etc)
I think we should report to Sony or Google

I am not sure I understand. You cannot reach more than 8 in superior auto, sorry.

this only after the android update.

It has always been like that but it seems that users never realized that, the reason for it, Pixel binning.

It's strange but in superior mode it's shows me 8MP(16:9) but when I switched to manual mode it's show me more options from 2MP to 20MP.

Is this some kind of BUG with marshmallow updates??

There's nothing wrong with the phone, it has been like that, perhaps you didn't noticed but it has been like that.
