ipod track scrub on units with touch screen

I recently tried a XAV-601BT in a shop with my ipod attached but I noticed that when playing an ipod track that there was no way to scrub the track position using the touch screen. I can't believe this has not been implemented as its one of the benefits of having a touch screen in the first place. Is there a way to do it I don't know of? Is it the same on the rest of the touch screen range as the software looks pretty uniform among the various units? I really wanted to buy this unit and the bigger 701 but the lack of this feature is a non starter for me.

I haven't heard anything like this yet. Try checking if there's a firmware upgrae available for this.

In that case I'm gonna try and influence their engineers via support complaints to see if someone will fix" this.
