theres crackling in my wh-1000xm3 in the left ear cup. its not there all the time, but certain situations its definately present:
Ive read of others with this issue who have had it resolved by sony replacing the headphones.
Is this a known issue and what is the resolution?
I need a serial number to contact support, and i no longer have the box and after scrutinizing my wh-1000xm3, i cannot find the serial printed anywhere on the headphones.
I've been having the same problem. The serial number on WH-1000Xm3 is located on the left earcup under the 'L' when you tilt it inwards. I've just sent off an enquiry to customer services asking about possible repairs. I'll update you if I get anything, and feel free to do the same if you get a response before me.
Update:
I never found a serial number on the headphones, its not there.
I had to send the headphones back to sony at my own cost for examination.
When I asked for a reimbursement they said talk to whoever i purchased it from. They do freepost in UK, but not Ireland. Based on this, i wont be purchasing from sony again as its not my fault my premium 3 month old headphones developed a fault.
Sony acknowledged the fault and are sending a replacement set, but still not refunding my postage fees.
