Wireless switch broken

please help! My VGN-FZ11L has been working fine in terms of wireless internet access. Logged on last night and it has just stopped working though was fine during the day? The wireless light is out even though it's switched on and can only log onto the internet through a cable now. I logged on and googled the problem which said when my intel network adapter updates it can cause wireles switch problems. I downloaded the update the be told it is incompatible with my OS - I'm on vista. Can anyone please help?

Yes vista is quirky indeed. same thing happened to me. Go into the device manager by right clicking 'My computer'>Properties and on the left side panel ...voila device manager. In the tree open out 'network adapter' and right click on the intel/pro wireless device and simple disable and enable again. do this for both devices and of course make sure the switch is on
