VIDEO INPUT PCV-V1/D

Hi to the ones, who read this!
I own a PCV-V1/D and I have to say, that I am very content with it and its performance. My current question refers to the fact, that this desktop-PC has a S-Video In and a Composite-In connector on its upper left side.
Unfortunately it doesnt simply start up by using a dv-cam or a recorder with it.
Does someone of you know from experience, technical know-how or other postings, what could be wrong with it, or how this can be fixed or actuated. I want to copy a couple of VHS-cassettes.
The helpline was so far incapable to answer my request.
Thank you! Please answer in English, French or German!

Hi christopherid and welcome.

The preinstalled program designed to capture analogue video through the composite AV and S-Video sockets and burn it to a DVD is "Click to DVD"

Try this and see if it works.

Blencogo!
Okay - I will try to work it out the way you described it. Actually I want to cut the video-files with another program and then burn it on a DVD.
I hope to be able to capture the visual material with the Click-to DVD software on the PC in the first place.
Do you know if there is a selection to choose the dv-format for the incoming stream?
I would prefer to store it in ".AVI" to have maximum results.
