Hi,
I'm using a VAIO model VGN-NS20E. I've changed my external monitor to a HP LE2001w that has 1600x900 native resolution, and the laptop is unable to give this resolution. Max I can get is 1440x900. Powered on, and with the graphic card options to maximum performance.
Graphic card is the Intel GMA 4500M, that I've read is able to support this resolution.
I've already installed the latest drivers for the graphic card and for the monitor.
Any idea?
BTW Windows XP SP3.
thanks,
Alex
Ok I found the solution myself.
I installed this drivers:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-028366.htm
And then I set up a custom resolution from the control panel. 1600x900 x 60 Hz x 32 bit, timing standard GTF. And it's working.
