Upgrading Graphics on my Vaio

Hi all,
I bought a Vaio recently and I was just wondering how I might go about upgrading the graphics on it?
I know that probably seems like a really remedial question but I am not the most technologically advanced and i have never had to do it before!!!

Any tips would be really appreciated!
I currently have a Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 but i am told nVidia have the best graphics cards. Is there any way I can get/download one or am I stuck with what I've got?

Hi sussexboy and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sorry but graphics chips in laptops are not upgradable. They are soldered in so it is impossible to change them.

It depends what you want your graphics to do - I think you will find your Intel graphics will do most things perfectly well. You would only notice any difference if you try to play bang up to date games that are designed for the most powerful hardware.

The other advantage with the Intel is that it is probably the most reliable chip.

Unfortunately, playing new, up-to-date games was exactly what I wanted to do.
Oh well, never mind. I will just have to wait until i can get a more capable computer.
