Start up problems with my VGCLT2S

HELP!

I've had my VGC-LT2S for nearly a year and today when I turned it on it sounded as if it was on but the screen remained dark grey. My desktop, windows etc never started up. What's wrong with it?

I've tried re-booting and taking the power lead out. Can I try something else or is it a hardware problem?

Hi Lobsa and welcome.

Did you see the first Vaio screen before windows tries to load?

You do have a S-Video output. It may be worth connecting this to a display like your TV to check if it is the Vaio's screen that is faulty.

If you look at the screen closely with a torch can you see anything? (Just to check if the backlight or inverter has failed)
