spilled orange juice over the keyboard

hi,
my keyboard from my laptop is sticky from orange juice. what can i do?
is it possible to exchange the button? I`m afraid to break something.
do you guys have any idea.
please help me. especially the Space button does not work, because it is so sticky.

Hi Torre81,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I fear that you may need a new keyboard.

The buttons can be removed by gentle upward pressure and, possibly, you may be able to clear the sticky mess. Replacing the keys is slightly more difficult but if you let us know your model number we may be able to provide a guide.

Have you considered a claim on your home content insurance (accidental damage) – assuming you have such cover…
