I can't seem to get the laptop connected to the TV in 1920 x 1080 mode correctly using an HDMI cable on Win 7 Ultimate! If I have 1920 x 1080 selected under the screen resolution section it over fills the screen so I can't view the top or bottom properly.
The only option is to chose 1768 x 992 as this fills the screen correctly. However when playing Blu-ray movies using WinDVD while in 178 x 992 setting the TV input states it's receiving a 1080i signal! This is confusing me somewhat! Am I receiving full 1080i or is the TV incorrect? Any help would be appreciated.
