Recovery media

Have e-mailed support 4 times now with no reply so i guess there shut for xmas and will open in june just in time for there summer holidays.

Has anyone any idea where i can buy recovery media for my VGN-FW41M please as i said have mailed the mythical support 4 times once a week with no reply so any ideas would be most welcome as the hdd died so am unable to use the recovery partition.

Hi tallandyuk55,

You will need to telephone Vaio Support on the Out-of-Warranty premium telephone line. You will be asked for your serial number. Cost of media is approx. £50.
From the UK the number is 0905 0310006. (Cost 0.35£/min) – as far as I am aware they have not yet shut down for Christmas.

I did ring them cost me over a fiver and they said they would get back to me with how much the discs would be heard nothing since total waste of time and money they have email and phone numbers useless company always thought highly of sony no longer sadly
