Problem with left click button on VGN-C2S

Hi
My Vaio has developed an intermitent fault with my left click button, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt?
I don't know if it a physical button problem or a software issue?
I contacted the helpline and they told me to restore my laptop to an earlier date, I tried this several times but the laptop would not restore no matter what ever date I tried?
Has anyone else ever had these issues?
Can anyone suggest any fixes?

Hi Chris,

If it's intermittent it is more likely to be a hardware fault than software related. You will probably need a repair to replace the button. Is your Vaio still within the warranty period?
