my VAIO doesn't read 8 GB memory sticks

I have a VGN-FS215E series, the memory stick slot can read 2 and 4 GB memory sticks normally but when it comes with the 8 GB memory sticks, it doesn't read it and it tells me that the memory stick is not formated and i have to format it, although it is formated !! any suggestions ?!!

I thnik there must be an update for that problem and most of the electronics that came after 2007 (Memory Stick supporting machines) supports 8 gb MS Duos.

There isn't an update for your model.

I would try the one listed for the FS315 which can be downloaded from here: -

Memory Stick Driver Update Version 2.0.4.7

It should work ................................... as long as your reader is not too old!!
