Hi, The sound on my new VGN-C2S seems very low has anyone else the same problem? Is the only fix a set of active speakers? Regards co2laser.

When you see the VAIO logo when you switch on your VAIO hit F2 sto go to the BIOS.

In here there is speaker volume. Stick it up to 8.

EU law means that audio equipment has to be quieter than that of the US or other places but because sony use the same machines all over the world they have to limit it using software, hence you can change it!

You should be able to just restart your VAIO and hit F2 to get into the BIOS and find the speaker volume and stick it on 8.

I have VPCS13S9E and cant find that setting in BIOS. I come in with F2 but how to find the settings in BIOS? I have gonne through everything i think but nothing about sound.
