Losing patience - touchpad scroll issue!

Hey,

I have a VAIO FS series; and Im having a little problem - but its becoming more of a frustration now

Anyway, basically, when Im typing in IM windows, my palm is tapping every now and again (literally just touches) the touchpad at the side; and as a result, it starts scrolling the window - very annoying. Now, I love the scroll feature, and I always use it.. but is there any way to disable it when typing; like the disabling the tapping while typing?

Hi Matt and welcome to Club Vaio.

As far as I am aware there is no option to disable the touchpad while typing, but there is usually an option to alter the sensitivity. Have a look under mouse properties (double click the touchpad icon in the system tray) > Motion and Miscellaneous tab ….
