How do I replace the DVD RW drive on my RA304 Desktop VAIO

Hi everyone,

My DVD RW Drive (top bay) is no longer functioning, I have tried all the usual advice re reinstalling drivers, deleting some filters in registry etc, but no luck, so assume cable is loose or drive needs replacing. I have taken off side cover, which gives access to most of machine, but top one third is still covered by the top end of the black case. How do I get tihs off and is the drive easy to replace? I am not that technically advanced!!!

From the second picture, it looks like you remove a few screws and the drives slide out the front. I am only going from the picture - I have no personal knowledge of your model.
