Hi,
I have a Sony VAIO vgn-NS11J and this problem is driving me nuts.
While typing text the cursor will sometimes jump back into previously typed text.
This is annoying as I cannot type while looking at the screen. (I have to look at the keys)
then discover that I have been typing in the wrong place and have to correct it.(It did it twice while doing this note.)
Anybody have any ideas on this annoying problem.
I am not touching the mousepad or touching any other key other than the one I want.
This laptop originally had vista installed now has windows 7 pro.
I have spotted another user has a similar problem :-
Hi scorpio333uk
I see you've been looking about for the solution which is always a good start, did you find this post? http://community.sony.com/t5/Windows-8/Cursor-jumping/td-p/30084 Did you reinstall the touchpad software for the device? My guess is that it's heat triggering the touchpad, but adjusting the settings a bit can't hurt.
Hope we can help,
