BlueTooth Upgrade

When trying to connect via Bluetooth with my Nokia 6555 the Nokia software says the Bluetooth driver is not good.

I got my Vaio VGN-A317M 3 years ago so I'm assuming I need an upgrade.

I can't find anything on the Sony site. Can someone please help me ? Can I use ANY bluetooth product or must it be an official Sony driver upgrade ?

Hi Andy,

Bluetooth connectivity has become a problem recently. You will have the Toshiba bluetooth stack installed on your model and all I can suggest is to try to reinstall it by running C:\Utils\Utils.exe.

As a last resort you could try uninstalling the Toshiba drivers and installing the Broadcom drivers which are used in the latest Vaios. http://www.broadcom.com/products/bluetooth_update.php

If that does not work, try a USB bluetooth dongle or buy another make of phone or connect by USB cable.
