How to search on internet with a Bravia? No keyboard connection possible according to Sony and the virtual keyboard via the remote is horrible.
Please advice
Hi hetenpi
I know it's not ideal but you can use your remote to type as you would text on a mobile phone.:smileysilly:
Hi Slowtrain,
I know this but it is a horrible way to search, more or less useless. Why can I not connect a keyboard?
Simply because there is no web browser on the TV so you cannot access 'open' internet. You can search some of the BRAVIA Internet Video services though
Disappointing and not expected. So, the answer on my question is: can not be done?
Thanks.
Thank you very much for the explanation. The answer is clear, no internet. I bought the Bravia for the picture quality and to use it for BD/DVD and photo viewing. These pictures are magnificent.
thanks again.
Add a BOXEE BOX from D-link, it solves the issue also streeming from PC or MAC.
It has an open BROWSER with Adobe Flash
--WIFI to PC/MAC
--WIFY to Internet without PC/MAC
--HDMI 1,3 or higher to the SONY-40NX800
There are youtube on how to set PC/MAC for sharing data
There is a forum for BOXEE BOX issues
This Boxee was new to me. I googled it and it looks very nice.
Thanks for the advice!
Regarding the use of the remote - why do I have to navigate to "space" instead of pressing "0"(zero) ??
It takes a lot of time writing a sentence with a lot of spaces.
Is it just me, or can some of you make it work ??
Looking forward to hear from you...:smileyhappy:
In Swedish adverts; Open-on-line internet, but Sony lies since Sony cannot access open-on-line internet, only very limited apps--useless apps.
I am dissapointed.
LG and Samsung add movie rental apps and have a browser.
If not Sony can download more apps for movie rentals or a browser--I will replace this TV--move it to the kids room and buy me a Samsung.
Sony lied in the advert--I normally check everything--misstake this time.
Good bye Sony
