My Xperia Mini Pro had fallen many times from heights but never sustained any injury not even a scratch. But yesterday it well less than 15 cm and broke the screen. The screen parts came off at the bottom right. When I went to Sony Ericsson Service Center they asked me to replace the part containing the display (the part that flips up) for 9000 INR. I bought this phone on ebay for 13000 INR. The phone was east asian make. So they are saying I cannot get warranty. I want to know if it is possible to replace the screen. The phone is just 2 months old. How can I replace the screen. I believe only the digitizer is broken. The LCD seems intact. Touch function is working perfectly. I want the list of Service Centers in Kerala, India (preferably in Kollam, Trivandrum or Ernakulam) Please respond.

hi vina.. m going to order digitizer + lcd from ebay. Please let me know what type of glue is required to stick the flex cables? Is it any special one..

hi veena, i was researching for ways to fix my phone, its an sk17i model the problem is just a tip of the screen is like peeling off but no other problem so far everything works great except for the edge part sort of peeling off. do i need to tear up the whole unit? or can i just peel off the front glass thingy and apply a new adhesive?

Hi Friends...

Yesterday My Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro (sk17i) also fell down. I bough it from ebay for Rs 9200. Today i went to Sony Ericsson Service Centre with the original invoice. After entering the IMEI No in their system, they told me that the phone was not bought form India and doesn't cover any warranty. Replacement will cost Rs 9000 which is just equal to the price of the phone. Also they told that the programming after the service may cause incompatibility with the Indian SIM. When i contacted the seller, they told me to send the phone to Chennai ( I'm from Ernakulam) and they'll repair and sent me back. I'm confused with this Option.I Kindly request you all to find a solution for the same.When I went to the local Market they offered to replace the screen with cost around Rs1000.

What 's the best possible option? I want my phone in the condition as it was before.. Please Help
