CoolDesign started one of these for the Mini, although I love my phone I thought it was a good idea so decided to start one for the Mini Pro (2011 version). Check out the other thread too (http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/107847#107847) as I'm sure alot of features will be shared, I've copied some into this thread.

Please post enhancements only, not bugs or issues with your phone... unless of course it is something that needs enhancing! I'll try to copy them into this post to keep them all at the start.

Screen flickering - ambient light sensor on/off option, or not updating so often.
Photos seem over-compressed - don't compress so much or give options.
Video seems over-compressed - don't compress so much or give options.
Fade-in alarm and fade in ringtones options. **
Lock-screen "widget" for the music player. (Surprised this wasn't there). **
Three settings on the "brightness" widget (dim, mid, bright). **
Rotate home screen and app drawer. It does this when the keyboard is out so it can be done, if not by the sensor can we have a widget that rotates the screen. (Anyone know of one?)
Allow for a preview on the lock screen of messages recieved (SMS, etc), theres plenty of space under the clock. **
Use a long press on the included headphones button to activate Voice Search so you can ring someone or navigate somewhere without touching/unlocking the phone.
Include the other two switches (Backlight and Data Traffic) in the Status Switch. (Because of its size it currently doesn't go in the middle so looks weird) Or reduce it to four and allow it to be configured with which ones we want. **
Camera sounds. I know some places have to have sounds by law, but can we have a separate volume for it as I'm not sure which one controls it but its overly loud!! (shutter and focus) If I switch xLoud off it helps but I want this on...
Allow the volume keys to be used for next/previous track/station or volume (setting, either or) when playing music/radio and the phone is locked.

Added (25/10/2011):

Have a setting to control the timeout of the keyboard backlight.
Have a setting to control the keyboard backlight brightness as it is difficult to see in low light (especially on the white Mini Pro).

I have the black too, and the keyboard light seems ok to me. But it's annyoning because it turns off constantly, and in dark rooms I have to press a random key to light it up again.

I suggest an option to enable/disable the keyboard to use the light sensor, so it will be permanently on in dark areas and off outside.

Also other apps cannot see the light sensor, even "sensor testing" apps report that the phone doesn't have one.

Since this is a feature request, I actually have quite an idea but I dunno if you guys agree or not
In my Dell Studio 14, the keyboard backlit does not depend on sensor but I have to press the backlit button to turn the backlit on. There are three levels. Bright, dim and off.

So I was thinking that if the globe button in the SK17i keyboard can be used to do the same as my laptop does, changing the backlit level manually rather than the sensor doing it for you. Besides, the sensor is not accurate and I think most of us seldom use the globe button.

Please, turn back the screen off animation, the update to 2.3.4 removes it. I don't know why the major part of the manufacturers are removing it.

camera / picture quality - it's not about the compression [although it's suspicious, at 500kb for 5mp!].

it's about the EXTREME NOISE REDUCTION, which kills all the detail. After that it's no surprise that the files are small - there's no detail left to be compressed...

The Request:

either turn down the NR by at least a quarter.

OR

make it possible to choose the level - or even to apply it manually, ex-post.

Compression level [at least 3] is optional bonus.

Comon SE! my P1i 3mp cam gives better pictures in moderate light!

Fair enough, you don't get a great camera in mid-range android phone. But at least don't cripple it with no-options, no-controls!

What's the point of "scene selection" if the quality of 5mpix is hardly good enough for a post stamp...

sony pls do something abt d keyboard light problem on white mini pro.....its quite annoying as v cant c d letters on the keyboard in dim light.......wats d use for paying xtra for pro???.......pls v need a fix real soon....

FEATURE REQUEST:

SE can you give us a better saved password management in the browser?

cause I type the wrong password when I try to sign in to this forum and I pressed remember password.

And in order to erase that I also need to erase all other saved passwords.

I dont wan to use third party browsers as the stock browser have scrolling while pince to zoom.

Feature Request:

1. Show no empty app drawer on home, it's annoying seeing an empty quarter circle on my screen 😕

2. repeat/repeat all function in stock music player

3. loseloss format eg: flac/ape support in stock music player! I know there's app on market but i like how the stock player look

4. Auto-brightness On/Off

Erm... Does anyone notice that when you access the gallery through the messaging app to send a mms it shows no picture at all? I close and open gallery again and it didn't show anything... I check my file using astro file manager and my pictures are still there just that the gallery is not reading them...
