Low camera details

I have SK17i and the picture produced by the camera lacks detail. This goes the same as the new sweep panorama.

The sweep panorama is just for fun and unusable to show it to others at it is so blurry and has hardly any detail at all...

Sadly, the camera is like that for everyone...   if you are looking for a great looking pictures, SK17 nor ST15 is for you.... I will keep thinking the camera can take GREAT pictures, but photos get compressed like...   way too much!! ...   Could be software related, but eh!... I doubt SE do, or say something about it...  Just get used to it.

Has anyone tried alternative software?  I noticed on the android market there is an app called HDR camera.  Is it any good?

by saying low camera details it means that the pictures are blurry? then how about comparing it to the camera of x8? which is better? im satisfied with the camera of x8 and if the deatils of the mini pro are better than this than its ok..

I make some test shots recently as I wanna see how bad the picture quality is....

Today I have known something quite disturbing...
The shots from the 5 MP rear camera are only a little better than the front facing VGA camera...
So practically I wanna say is that this "5MP" rear camera actually have around 1 megapixels only as VGA is 0.3MP(?)....

AFAIK Megapixel are the smallest dot from which image forms!

VGA(0.3MP)=300000pixels which equals to 640x480=307200(picture resolution)

5MP=5000000pixels which equals to 2592x1944=5038848(picture resolution)

So MP decides how many pixels are present in that image and not directly the quality!

Compression ratio,frequncy,cam lence,focus and such many more factor decides the quality!

So looking like 1MP is not true!

The fact that details in image are suppressed(Simple language same values pixels can be coded and replaced so as to get less size and save memory) that leading camera to give less quality images!

Correct me if I'm wrong!
