flash drive not supported

when i am inserting usb flash drive to my sony xperia U via otg cable,its showing a message that the device has been disabled as the power consumption of the device is too high...is this my phones's problem or my otg cable's??

try a different brand but I doubt it'll work , you should use something like this instead

yes, it requires too much power, it's not going to work with USB OTG

wat way i can use memory card???

it is a flash drive problem ! some of them (eg transcend with lower GB capacity consume less) so better to try good brand of usb flash and keep power connected to phone while connecting usb as a precaution

Actually it is not always the USB that is the problem, often it is the software on the phone

Workaround: Use more power from the phone (the irony)

-Plug in a USB hub

-Plug card reader or USB stick into that

Seems to work, when I have this error. Maybe this syntex problem should be fixed with a patch in the future?
