DATA TRAFFIC on xperia p

my notification bar has stopped displaying the data traffic signal when enabled. also there is no internet connection detected but phone signal strength is fine ( 5 bars) pls help soon .it has been working ok for a month now .

Hey buddy! How can you tell if your sim card is 2g or 3g? Not sure if mine is 3g. No label on the back, I'm using TM. Thanks buddy!

ya right..same was the case with me..vodafone network down..and I was wondering that my mobile is bricked!!:smileylaugh::smileylaugh:

@casimirfunk if your SIM card its older than 6months or a year most likely its not 3G, but then again it varies with each carrier, for example AT&T's Sim card will say 3G or even 4G/LTE, check with your carrier.

hey varuna im also facing same problem after having a factory reset. and i did restore using sus but issue is remaining as same. what was actually happened on your phone and what was the solution please help me buddy.even me also was using properly before to factory reset (mama hithanne oya lankawe math lankawe mama qatar wala inne qtel kiyana sim eka use kare kalin den eka weda karanne ne oya data traffic on karata net ekata connect wenne ne) if you can't get those words i mentioned withthin brackets ignore them please give me a solution

hi , the prob with my ph was that data traffic had stopped working, there was no symbol of data connection on the top bar and despite restarting the ph,  checking settings i cld not connect..but in the end it turned out to be a problem with my isp vodafone's network and it started working fine again. Hope this helps

dude ask for your ISP to know if your sim is 3g ready. if a sim is 2g enabled then there is no chance to receive any signal from 3g network. but usually when you buy a sim there are information on it that the sim is 3g enabled. im using suncellular.
