big problem with charging !

ive recently got an xperia p as an upgrade from my contract , its a 24 month contract and i cant afford the insurance so havnt been paying it but just today ive had alot of trouble , when i woke up my phone hadnt been charging , i always charge it when im in bed but i woke up with exactly the same battery power as i had when i went to sleep , so i unplugged it and tried again but it just wont charge , the light was coming up and the on screen signals were showing it was charging but the battery power wasnt going up , i tried letting the battery run out then trying as this worked with my xperia x8 but it still wont charge and now im stuck with a phone that has a dead battery , wont charge and has no insurance that im paying £30 a month for ! , help ???

try this

connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold the power button and volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 30min > try to turn it on

if that doesn't work, take your phone to a Sony repair center
