and just to add, ICS should give us the freedom to resize widgets right? but why cant I resize widgets??
not quite, it's up to the developer of each app to make this widgets sizeable, add the Gmail widget > once it's somewhere on the homescreen > long press > you should be able to resize it

Thanks! It seems that the compass is working, but do you know how can I enable the compass functionality on the pre-installed google map app? and can you also give me some advice on how can I prolong the battery life/limit the battery consumption of the phone... I'm having almost 2-3% battery loss per 10mins when the phone is on, and upon checking the display setting is the one consuming the most battery.. thanks for the quick response!
settings > apps > all > maps > clear everything > restart your phone and try again.
regarding the battery
charge it 100% use your phone as you normally would > once it reaches 10% > settings > battery > take screenshots (press and hold power & volume up for 2 seconds) of the whole list > tap on the graph and snap a screenshot also tap on the 4 top items on the list and take screenshots, post it all here

I post the picture right now (10:03pm +8 gmt) the battery is completely drain, took that picture at around 9:34pm almost 30 mins and 10% battery drain? I just send the picture from my phone to the computer through mail...
[edit]
I forgot to take screenshot of the graphs so I did a quick recharge and snap the graph and the four items on the list..
sorry the images are too big, I don't know how to resize them..

the battery life it's normal as you can see wifi was on most of the time and the screen was on for 5hrs that's normal, if you want to increase battery life, turn off your wifi when you don't use it.
