  • I love to find the abstract or take a selective point of view in everyday objects. This is an used front door to a pub in Polperro called the Blue Peter.
  • This Seagull calls its home the beautiful fishing village of Polperro in Cornwall. This was taken with my Sony A99 and 70-400mm G series lens.
  • This is Polperro harbour in Cornwall, a very beautiful fishing village. The local people are friendly and have a warm welcome for all. The village is a rich canvas for any photographer throughout the year. For more information please go to the following website.

  • After a week of manning up to man flu I decided today to get out with the camera no matter what the cost. I travelled light only taking my A99 and 135mm F1.8 ZA out with me to my local discovery center This little fella followed me around the center not straying more than a few feet away the entire time I was there. It had such character and allowed me to take quite a few portraits before it was time to say goodbye.

I find the 135mm an excellent lens for taking bird portraits; it has such a workable depth of field range especially between F8 and F11.

  • Lansallos parish church origins were founded in the 14th Century and through the passing centuries it has been lovely restored and cared for. The pews are over 500 years old and along side the beautiful roof off an insight into craftsmanship of the period...The church suffered at the hands of arsonists but thanks to swift call of a passing fire engine the majority of the church was saved. The true spirit of the locals, tireless fund raising saw the church restored to its former glory.

  • This was taken at the Great Western Railway museum Didcot Railway Center in Oxfordshire. This is the main engine shed where a large number of the active locomotives are kept...I love being around the steam locomotives, carriages and buildings, they are such a rich resource of photographic material.

  • I spotted this duck during a visit to the local Nature Discovery Centre in my hometown. I have no idea which species of duck it is and Google is not helping at the present.

  • I decided to spend a few hours at my local pubic house reading a good book and enjoying a cool beer or two. As a result I only took my trusty RX100 with me but due to its compact nature it allowed me to capture this photograph.

  • I took this photograph as part of my street photography project. I like the candid nature of the photograph, a workman laying down on the job.
  • This beautiful landscape is part of West Berkshire county, UK. The oil rape season is almost in full swing and the countryside is completely yellow in colour.
  • Whilst waiting for my partner to have her hair cut I could not resist taking a few candid photographs.
  • This is inside my local church. The photograph is comprised of 5 exposures merged together using Adobe's CS6 HDR Pro.
  • My local church, St Mary's of Thatcham.
  • Over the course of this week I have been trying to take photographs of my home towns church but have been foiled by a car parked on the grounds. Today it was not there so I managed to complete my weeks work which was very satisfying.

  • Didcot Railway Center
  • I spotted this abstract whilst visiting Didcot Railway Center. All these bags were left in lost property at various GWR stations over the last 70 years.
