Top contacts provider problem

I have the m2 Xperia and whenever I try to use the telephone application it appears a message saying top contacts provider application has stopped. What can I do. I can't use my phone. Help

Settings, apps, all, phone clear data, restart the phone

This app is not directly apart of the Phone app, you may actually need to find the App called Top Contacts Provider and clear the data from that.
