SIM1 gets disable - please help

For several weeks I have been facing a very annoying issue with my M4 dual sim. At least once a day the device looses SIM1 connection, the icon disappears, no way to enable it again unless restarted. This would not be bad enough but if left all incoming calls are redirected to the 2nd SIM and charges occur as I am on roaming with the latter one. Mobile data SIM preference is also automatically changed to the 2nd SIM. I have done factory resets, no success. It drives me crazy, never thought Sony can make such a bad device (not mentioning here the stupid misselection of the SIM you want to use on car Bluetooth system)

It's been 3 days the phone behaves surprisingly well. No more SIM disable or Wi-Fi missconnection. Maybe the last time restart which took a bit longer than usual after a video play crash had a positive impact. To be monitored. Too good to be true!

1 week since the phone behaves amazingly well, no more restart needed and the only time I did it was because of Facebook. I remarked there was no more Android Upgrading start up message. What is frustrating is that I have no clue what was the issue or what good happened meanwhile. To be continued!

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection problems came back since yesterday. No way to enable them unless restarting the phone device. Not related to a recent software update that happened this morning either. Anybody having a clue?

Same problem here, but with single sim m4. Both me and my wife on two separate m4's have it!

We both have to reset on daily basis because of freezing sim and WiFi. The WiFi icon adds an exclamation mark, and the 3g reception bars turns into an empty triangle.

Turning plane mode on and off doesn't help. Changing to GSM or 3g doesn't help, the phone then even says to turn off airplane mode, which isnt activated at all.

Only a restart fixes the problem.

Very annoying..

Hi,

same situation for me. sometimes the sim  vanishes once a week but since yesterday, it often happens after 10mn of uptime.

I don't understant if it is a hardware of software problem and cannot reproduce it...

But it's very very annoyoing !!!

Hi guys, I think it is a hardware problem, in my case it migrated to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth which were not possible to re-enable them unless restarted. Then the situation got worse when a the phone was not rebooting until the battery was almost drained. When enabling Wi-Fi again in the next sequence phone was restarting all over again. Sent a note to Sony to use an international guarantee, no reply, so I need to wait until I get back to my home country to send it for repair. Meanwhile I bought a Lumia 950 and all my frustrations and disappointments disappeared. Never buy a Sony smartphone again!

I have the same issue with an M5 dual. SIM1 disappear (always SIM1 even if I swap the two nano sim).

Sometime a reboot is not enough, I have to remove the SIMs and put them again

I have the last version (Android 6.1, build 30.3.B.1.21)

Please help!

It's a phone full of bugs, I moved away from Xperia, Sony never replied nor apologized. I did not even bother to send it back to Service shop. I am a Sony fan but never buy a Sony smartphone again.
