The phone gets heated not only during charging but also otherwise whenever in use. Though specially during calls and charging it becomes so overheated that it cant be held in hands. The back of the phones body is also cracked due to extensive heating of the device.
Charger used is orignal Sony charger that was provided with the phone.
I'm sorry to hear about your issue but the phone can't overheat, if it gets too hot, the phone will shutdown, with that said, you should contact your Local support to get it inspected.
SONY XPERIA products are sub-standard and cheap quality. Service is pathetic. And you are not knowledgeable enough to answer this. Moreover you dont trust a customer. TOO BAD. When a custmomer is saying that the back panel has cracked because of over-heating definitely customer is not lying.
SONY XPERIA series specially with MEDIATEK processors DO OVERHEAT
I have been living with this since DAY 1 of my purchase. I WAS A DIE HARD FAN of SONY ..... BUT NO MORE.
Now, just after the waranty is over and phone is 1 year and few months old because of over heating i have got a Yelly semi circular patch on left side of screen. Its definitely hardware fault
1. patch appears even on restart and on very first screen of SONY logo appearing, so its definite display issue
2. Over heating has a major cause behind this defect
3. Ran display test in settings and patch still visible on white screen of test
SONY must raise an advisory and provide free repair for this defect and rectify this fault for future products. Otherwise, SONY will loose huge chunk of customers like me. I can still live with SONY and start trusting if i get this problem resolved and you guys at least show little trust in customers.
CUSTOMERS DO NOT LIE... at least after spending huge amount of money on this product of yours
Hi, I share the same overheating issue. Often the temperature soars to more than 40°c. Been using xperia xz premium dual sim for just over 1 month and I think it is not as good as expected. Should have bought iphone instead.
