How to free up/get back some storage space??

Hi there,

My Xperia m5 (16GB) is running low on storage even though I have memory card (32GB) installed in it.

Please see picture below.

 Can someone on here explain to me how those figures add up together to over 15 GB data on my phone?

Any ideas on how to release/get back that "hidden" ~3gb of memory space back please!?

Right, I'm not sure what streaming services you have in mind however I've now cleared some data from my social apps like Twitter, fb etc. as you recommended in your post. That gave me back around 1GB of space but..  

Im still missing between 3-4 Gb somewhere and I don't know how to get them back.

Any more clues?

If you are backing up your pictures/videos with google, then 

settings > apps > photos > storage > clear data

as for streaming apps

spotify, youtube, pandora, even chrome.

I do appreciate your help buddy but I've done it all that you've suggested and still missing out few priceless GB.. :smileysad::smileyconfused:

Come on Sony team help me out here!
