There are quite a few Blu-ray players if you look around that play Large mkv files over 4GB,and support NTFS harddrives, The only thing BDP 370 is lacking:smileysad:

Unfortunately this years Players do not have NTFS support.
However new Netbox SMP-N100 does http://www.sony.co.uk/product/usb-media-players/smp-n100 so it may be in the next range also

Yes, but how would they sell next year's model if they gave the features away this year?
It's only as upgradable as their marketing guys will allow it to be. Upgradable firmware allows makers to get to market faster with buggy software and missing features that are "due any day soon, so buy now and play later"

Keep next year players, we will not buy. You are always a step behind the competition.

I think ntfs support or ext3 would make this little blu-ray a must have, sony would make allot of money out of this if they are smart, but I don't think they are.
