Last month we showed you the new blog designs. Now we have turned our attention to the rest of the community.

Using  the feedback you have provided over the last year, alongside our improved understanding of what the platform is capable of, we want to update each section of the community, bringing it in line with the current blog (and Sony website) designs and ensuring it becomes even more intuitive and user friendly.

Below are some examples of the proposed changes.

Front Page 

Starting with the front page you can see right away that right hand column is gone and the ‘What’s Hot’ section has been revamped. Another big change is that the current Product Categories will have direct links to specific boards, making it much easier to navigate to the relevant boards. 

Forum Boards 

As you can see, the design principles we started on the front page continue here, with no right hand column and the focus firmly on your content.  A few little elements have also been added, such as a ‘Views’ column.  We also have Polls!

You can expect these, plus many other changes to go live at the end of March.  After that the plan is to start working on the other areas, from your profile pages to private messages and Galleries.
