Have had the tv a few years, very little use.
Recently tried to use it for streaming but no virtual keyboard.
Have tried most known 'cures' for the problem but so far nothing works.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards, 'Peruvial'
Apologies - 'virtYal' should have been 'virtual'.
Hi @Peruvial What is the full model number of your TV? it should start with KD or XR. The keyboard should appear when the cursor is inside of the entry field and press Select/OK.
Many thanks Lightfoot.
The model number is : KDL 32W706B
We have several other Sony products (2 Blue Ray players, CD player/radio. a smaller tv etc.)
This is the first one that has given us trouble
The remote control is RM- ED059 (No mic button)
Hi @Peruvial
10 year old TV, I suppose the first question is, is the software on the latest release?

Thank you again Lightfoot, I'll check version update later...
Hello Lightfoot, the software version number is: PKG2.068 EUA
S/n of tv is: 6601665
Hi Lightfoot, just tried to update software to latest version.
Message on screen was 'no newer version detected'.
Hi @Peruvial
If you have used the automatic update method, I am not surprised. You could try the USB method. I have to admire you trying this on a 10 year old TV, What text are you trying to enter? I would have given up and bought a modern TV or simply added a streaming stick like an Amazon Fire or Roku. They will have their own virtual keyboards and of course run the latest Apps.
