I have search for this problem but now found anything and the instruction book is of no particular use.
This TV has been working fine for sometime but recently my Default input has changed when using Google Home for Chromecast
Quite often I use the TV to display my Phone Pictures using the Built-in Chromecast.
As I mainly use the Sky Box, the TV is normally on tis HDMI 1 input. So, if the Sky Box is on and the TV is on and I am watching the Sky Box but then decide to look at a few pictures from my phone using Google Home, all works fine and then when I exit Google Home the TV always went back to the HDMI Input, However, now it reverts back to the Apps screen and I have to manually select HDMI 1 to get back to the Sky Box.
Nothing has changed from a software point of view .
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Hi,
Did you change anything on the TV before the issue occurred?
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter
The only thing I did changed a little while ago was that the TV would not connect to the Internet with either Cat5 or WiFi..I did notice that the clock time shown just after the TV come on in the top right had corner was showing the wrong time. .After some research that solution was to go into settings and select - set time to network - I think that was what it said. So a soon as I changed that the internet connected and the time was correct.
Then I tried the Google Home and that worked perfect and when exiting Google home it reverted back to the HDMI input.
Have tried it a few times after that and all was working as it used to, but when I tried it yesterday it now selects the App page so I have to re-select the HDMI.
Have tried it direct from Photos and YouTube from the phone and still reverts to the Apps page.
Bit of a mystery
Regards
John
Try making sure that Bravia Sync is turned On, or you can set the TV button shortcut to HDMI 1 (under Settings - Watching TV - TV Button Shortcut), and just press that when done with Google Home.
You can also update the TV if it's out of date (v6.7140).
Hope this helps!

HI, I don't seem to have those selections in the Setting menu, so maybe I have either different software of a different model from what you are commenting on.
I thought is maybe the Google Home update which was causing it but got my older phone with an old version of Google home and it made not difference.
Anyway, that for you possible solutions and if I solve it I will let you know
Regards
which software do you have? I might be able to help as yes, the interface changes.
Hello, since I update the software many months ago the new layout does not easy show where to look for the Software version. I have looked in what I think are all the possible location menus/ help but nothing seem to indicate either Update Software Or Check Version
Please advise
Try pressing the Help button on your remote, it starts with "PKG" and should be either on the top right of the screen (old version) or under Status & Diagnostics - System Information (new version).
Hope this helps!
