Sky Q and KD49XF9005 and XF9000

Hi, can anyone help please?

recently bought KD49XF9005 tv with XF9000 soundbar and Sky Q from Curry’s and paid extra for set up. One day the sound works, next it doesn’t. Curry’s ‘expert’ came out but couldn’t resolve problem, thinks it’s a Sky issue. Any suggestions before I go back to bang my head against the wall in Curry’s?

Try disabling Control for HDMI for Sky Q.

Hi @Brotherphil

What are all your Settings? Are you using Sky Q 2160p and Dolby Digital Plus. Obviously Sky Q comes with only one HDMI high speed cable, this should be used from Sky Q to XF9000. That leaves you having to buy another high speed HDMI cable from XF9000 to TV HDMI 3 (ARC).

I should add I have Sky Q 2160p DD+ connected to a HT-ZF9 connected to a KD-55XE9305. HDMI Control is switched On on all devices. There are a couple of things you can check:

On the TV Home -> Settings-> Sound -> Audio System prioritisation-> On.

Home -> Settings-> External inputs -> HDMI signal format -> Enhanced format.

Thanks for your help, I’ll pass it on to someone who understands these things better than I do.

Rang Sky and a helpful young lady talked through the set up step by step. Worked first time.

Talked to Curry’s who then refunded the set up fee they had been paid. Must be a moral there somewhere.
