Letterbox films and burn in

Recently got my KD48A9 TV.  I like films but everyone I select is in letterbox.  In Sky I have tried changing the screen to zoom to avoid the risk of burn in, but the picture is not as good.  On Netflix I don’t seem to have an option to do this.  On the burn-in issue, Sony recommends avoiding letterbox format.  I watch a film about a couple of times per week.  If I am watching in letterbox format is it just a matter of time before I get burn in?  Your thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Jewers,

If you do not watch letterbox movies only it shouldn't be a big issue.

Hi Peter,  Many thanks for getting back.   Just to get this clear in my mind, if I watch a couple of letterbox films during a week but watch full screen TV on other days, should my TV be okay?

Jewers, they don't know. The 'solution' you were given is not worth a thing.
