Recently I have bought Sony KD043XH8196 smart TV, I am trying to pair my Apple ipods (work with other TV) via bluetooth, when I click on find / add device TV just searches for device and is unable to locate (there is no issue of distance or metal in between).
Can I request your help please. Many thanks in advance
Hi @AshishG
For some unknown reason Sony normally only includes the A2DP Bluetooth profile on their 9 series TVs. For example KD-55Xx9xxx. I’m afraid that your TV does not have the A2DP profile so you cannot connect any audio device using the native TV. You may be able to find a 3rd party app in the Google Play Store that provides this feature.
An extract from the specifications for your TV. As you can see, no A2DP.
BLUETOOTH PROFILE SUPPORT
Version 4.2;HID (mouse/keyboard connectivity)/HOGP (Low Energy device connectivity)/SPP(Serial Port Profile)
Thank you, can you please guide me towards the app please.
Hi @AshishG I’m sorry I cannot help you with Apps. I have a 9 series TV so I have never required one. I would search the Google Play Store for Bluetooth or A2DP.
