can any one please tell me how to enlarge the screen when watching a movie to remove thoose masive black bars top and bottom on the action menu wide mode is not there setting menu pitchure is all greyed out ? help please

Hi @martinhew2300. This is normal if you are watching anything using a HD or UHD signal source. If you change the signal source to SD (576p) then you can change the aspect ratio. The black bars are there because the director would like you to display it in the format recorded and not stretch and pull his handiwork.

what you say makes no sence at all for instance while veiwing virgen hdmi 2 hd sorce some times  i can change the size using the wide mode in hd so clearly the tv can change the size after paying 2k for a tv it should be up to me how i want to watch a film. i think there must be a fault with this tv .can anybody else change the settings my previous sony tv i could change it anytime watching any sorce. thanks dont want to come across as rude im a tad fed up with wacthing films through a pillar box.
