Hello - Just visiting to see if anyone might be kind enough to offer a little advice to a camera luddite. I'm in an unusual situation, in that I'm about to start raising funds for a small social enterprise designed to benefit people in recovery from mental health problems - basically it's a small media company, that people can get involved in to help them learn new skills, socialise, and perhaps explore media as a future career path.
I have prior experience of print & web design, as well as audio recording, but zero expertese with regard to video capture, and that's going to be playing an important role in this new enterprise. I have done some online research on which camera systems provide the best image quality for your money, which has finally led me to looking at the Sony 7 & 7S cameras. But before I can begin raising funds, I need to know which is the most suitable camera for our needs, and also which is a good all-purpose lens, so that I know how much money I'll need to try and raise.
So... I was hoping one of you kind and knowledgable souls might be good enough to offer a few words of advice. The aim is to try and get a really great camera primerily for video capture, with at least 1080p resolution and 30fps. Image quality is the key consideration here, as we'd obviously like to produce the best, most professional results possible on a limited budget. So that's it really, which of the Alpha 7 series would be best for us, and which is a great general purpose lens to go with it?
