I've long been a Sony Xperia fan and have had different models over the years. I now have the Xperia 1 V and for the most part it's a superb phone. But, there are two issues:
1) With "some" cables, it just won't charge. Specifically, I have a charging port in my car. When I connect the phone, the charging indicator comes on, then after a few seconds it goes off again. Th port and cable work on other items, and the cable works when used elsewhere. But this combination just won't work!
2) When connecting the phone to my laptop (with a cable that charges OK), the connection starts off fine. I change the setting for the USB and go through the Windows File Explorer, then it freezes and suddenly doesn't recognise the phone. This can be after 5 seconds, or up to a minute, but it means I can't easily download large amounts of content from the phone.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.
@Quinsfan check this article on Sony's website about Xperia phones not charging: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/mobile-phones-tablets-mobile-phones/xperia-1-v-256gb/arti...
Thanks. I have previously tried these solutions and they haven't helped. However, I have noticed that the phone sometimes charges on the car, as long as the battery isn't VERY low. May that have some impact?
Still no luck with the intermittent PC connection though.
