FZ21Z BlueRay Drive problem

Hi all, recently purchased FZ21Z and sony through goodness of their heart, kindlly offered to start my collection of Blueray films with a free copy of spiderman 3 which however does not seem to work. The player loads and starts playing but the screen is blank don't know if its a problem with the laptop or the film, it plays normal dvds. Please help

As VJ mentioned have you installed the InterVideo WinDVD BD 8.0.8.416 update, available HERE , for your FZ21Z

had the same problem with my fz21z, get your windvd updated and go for it.

I too have had the same problem with a new purchase of a VGN-FZ21Z... I am in the processof trying to resolve my problem as you suggest.

Did your dvd work the first time after the driver update?
As after I updated my driver all I can see is the movie menue?
I hear music etc but cannot use the menue functions, play select scene sound ect to watch the movie.
Pls can anyone help.

i have exactly the same problem..don`t know why??the upgrade patch cannot be applied to the windvd, starting installprocess ist arborted.. nice, if anyone could help..
